Privacy Policy

The short version: LingoCAN has no accounts. Your study progress stays on your device, we collect anonymous usage statistics to improve the app, and we never sell data or track you across other apps.

Who we are

LingoCAN ("we", "us") is an iOS application that helps you prepare for the TCF Canada exam. For any privacy question, contact us at yabdelaal04@gmail.com.

What stays on your device

LingoCAN does not require an account. The following data is stored only on your device and is never uploaded to us:

• Your answers, scores, streaks and study progress
• Bookmarks, writing drafts and handwritten notes
• Your language preference and reminder settings

Deleting the app deletes this data. Notifications are scheduled locally on your device; we do not operate a push-notification server.

Analytics

We use Google Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used — for example, which exercises are most popular and whether purchases complete. This involves:

• Usage data: screens viewed and in-app events (e.g. a question answered, a subscription started)
• Device identifiers: a random app-instance ID, device model, OS version, language and coarse region

This data is aggregated, is not linked to your identity, and is not used to track you across apps or websites. LingoCAN does not use the advertising identifier (IDFA) and contains no third-party advertising. Firebase's handling of this data is described in Google's Firebase privacy documentation.

Content delivery

Exam questions, audio and translations are downloaded from our content servers (hosted by Supabase). Like any web server, they process your IP address to deliver content and keep short-lived technical logs. No study data is sent with these requests.

Purchases

Subscriptions and offer codes are processed entirely by Apple through your Apple ID. We never see your name, payment details or billing address.

Children

LingoCAN is an exam-preparation tool intended for users preparing for Canadian immigration and is not directed at children under 13.

If we change this policy, the new version will be posted on this page with an updated date above.
